Development interns work closely with the Story Development department to submit ideas for series already in production.
Responsibilities & Skills:
- assisting in researching ideas for new projects aimed at specific cable networks
- reading daily newspapers and periodicals
- clipping relevant articles
- scanning articles into a computer database
- presenting ideas to head of department
- researching certain story ideas in depth
- utilizing various databases to locate potential interviewees for a show
