Towers Production, Inc Strikes 14-Episode Order for When Weather Changed History After Making the Weather Channel Ratings History

Premiere Week Draws 21 Million Viewers*
(Chicago, Illinois) March 23 2008 - On the heels of the premiere of When Weather Changed History, which drew the most viewers of any show launch in the history of The Weather Channel, Towers Productions announced today an order for fourteen new episodes from the all-weather network.

Produced by Towers Productions, Inc. (TPI), Chicago-based producer of factual and entertainment programming, When Weather Changed History ended its launch week with a cume of more than 21 million viewers.*  Other noteworthy ratings results include:

- Cumes increased at least 27 percent on average per day across all demographics and households.
- The average rating for the program increased 21 percent in households and 30 percent in A25-54 in comparison to the averages for the same time periods in fourth quarter of 2007.
- The Sunday 9pm premiere program out performed the same time period on TWC by 26 percent in households and 38 percent in A25-54 in comparison to other average in fourth quarter of 2007.

When Weather Changed History, a series of suspenseful one-hour dramas, explores the often unexpected role that weather has played in determining the outcome of iconic events and the course of history. The programs offer the personal stories of eye-witnesses to these events to chronicle mankind’s heroism and hubris in the face of dramatic weather. The series premiered Sunday, January 6, 2008, with an episode on the space shuttle Challenger and airs every Sunday night at 9pm ET and 11pm ET.
