SPORTS ACTION TEAM is a weekly semi-scripted half-hour syndicated comedy series on the NBC stations that follows the antics of a team of reporters who cover the national sports beat. Each week, in their delusional and misguided bid to reach the pinnacle of sports broadcasting, the cast interacts with real-world professional and amateur athletes, managers, sports enthusiasts, and celebrities. The cast is made up of alumni members of Chicago-based improv comedy groups I.O. and Second City.
